Interns gain hands-on experience in various sectors like Finance, IT, Manufacturing, Marketing, and more.

Duration: Usually 12 months of intensive on-the-job training.
Financial Support: Interns receive a monthly stipend (often ₹5,000) and a one-time grant (often ₹6,000) to cover incidental expenses.
Certificate: A government-recognized certificate is provided upon successful completion.
2. Step-by-Step Online Registration Process
Applying for the PM Internship Scheme is a completely digital process. Follow these steps to ensure your application is submitted correctly:
Step 1: Visit the Official Portal
Go to the official PM Internship portal at pminternship.mca.gov.in. Beware of fake websites; always ensure the URL ends in .gov.in.
Step 2: Initial Registration
Click on the "Register/Sign Up" button on the homepage.
Enter your Aadhaar-linked Mobile Number.
You will receive an OTP (One-Time Password); enter it to verify your identity.
Step 3: Profile Creation & Personal Details
Log in using your credentials.
Fill in your personal information exactly as it appears on your Aadhaar Card (Name, DOB, Gender).
Update your contact details, including an active Email ID and permanent address.
Step 4: Academic & Skill Details
Upload your educational qualifications (10th, 12th, Degree/Diploma details).
Mention any specific technical skills or certifications you hold (e.g., Tally, Java, Python, Digital Marketing).
Select your Preferred Locations and Sectors where you wish to intern.
Step 5: Review and Submit
Carefully review all entered data.
Agree to the terms and conditions.
Click "Submit". A unique Application ID will be generated for your profile.
3. How to Apply for Specific Internships (The Selection Phase)
Once your profile is 100% complete, you can actively apply for openings:
Dashboard Access: Log in to the portal during the Application Window (Jan–Feb 2026).
Search Opportunities: Use the filters to find internships based on your city or interest (e.g., "Mechanical Engineering in Pune").
Choose Your Top 5: Most cycles allow you to apply for a maximum of 5 different internship opportunities.
Submission: Click "Apply" for your chosen companies.
Selection: Companies will shortlist candidates based on their profiles. If selected, you will receive an offer letter via the portal or email.
Important Requirements
Aadhaar Card: Must be linked to an active mobile number.
Bank Account: You must have a bank account in your own name (preferably Aadhaar-seeded) to receive the stipend directly via DBT.
Academic Criteria: Generally open for those who have completed their studies but are currently not in full-time employment.
