SSC Exam Calendar 2026: MTS 2025 & GD Constable 2026 Dates Announced

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued an Important Notice (F.No. HQ-EC033/7/2025-EC) dated January 2, 2026, officially announcing the commencement dates for two major recruitment examinations. Aspirants can now plan their final revision according to the official schedule.

1. SSC Multi-Tasking (Non-Technical) Staff & Havaldar 2025

The MTS 2025 examination is set to begin in early February. A key highlight for this cycle is the introduction of Self-Slotting, allowing candidates more flexibility.

• Commencement of Examination: 04 February 2026 onwards.

• Commencement of Self-Slotting: 15 January 2026 onwards.

• What is Self-Slotting? This feature typically allows candidates to choose their preferred exam date and shift from the available slots provided by the commission on a first-come, first-served basis.

2. SSC Constable (GD) in CAPFs, SSF & Rifleman (GD) 2026

The massive GD Constable recruitment for 2026 has a tentative start date for the later half of February.

• Commencement of Examination: 23 February 2026 onwards (Tentative).

• Self-Slotting for GD: The dates for self-slotting for the GD entry will be informed by the Commission in due course.
