The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (OSSC) has officially announced the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Recruitment 2025 for Group-B and Group-C posts. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,576 vacancies in various state departments, including roles such as Auditors, Inspectors, and Junior Assistants.
Notification Release: December 2025.
Online Application Starts: 22nd December 2025.
Last Date to Apply: 21st January 2026.
Prelims Exam Date: Expected in March – April 2026.
A total of 1,576 posts are available across multiple categories.
Group B Posts: Inspector of Endowments, Auditor, Junior Warden, etc.
Pay Level: Level-9 (Initial Basic Pay approx. ₹35,400).
Group C Posts: Junior Assistant (HOD/District offices).
Pay Level: Level-4 (Initial Basic Pay approx. ₹19,900).
Educational Qualification: * Must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
Must have Computer Knowledge (Proficiency in MS Office, Internet, etc.).
Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak Odia and must have passed Middle School with Odia as a language subject.
Age Limit (as of 01.01.2025): * Minimum: 21 Years.
Maximum: 38 Years.
Relaxation: SC/ST/SEBC/Women (5 years) and PwD (10 years) as per Govt. rules.
The selection process is conducted in three distinct stages:
Stage I: Preliminary Examination (CBRE Mode)
Pattern: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
Topics: Arithmetic, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Current Affairs, and Computer Awareness.
Negative Marking: 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.
Stage II: Main Written Examination
Paper I: Language (Odia & English).
Paper II: General Studies (Indian Constitution, Economy, Odisha History & Geography, etc.).
Stage III: Computer Skill Test & Mathematics Test
Qualifying in nature for specific posts like Auditors and Junior Assistants.
Certificate Verification: Final stage for candidates who clear the written and skill tests.
Arithmetic: Number System, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest.
Reasoning: Verbal and Non-verbal, Coding-Decoding, Seating Arrangement, Puzzles.
General Studies: Indian History, Odisha History, World & Indian Geography, Environment, and Ecology.
Computer: Basics of Operating Systems, Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Powerpoint, and Internet usage.
All Categories: Exempted (No application fee is required for OSSC recruitment as per latest state government guidelines).
