The Indian Navy has officially released the notification for the 10+2 (B.Tech) Cadet Entry Scheme (July 2026 Course) on 01 January 2026. This prestigious scheme offers unmarried male and female candidates the chance to join the Indian Navy as Commissioned Officers in the Executive and Technical branches. Selected candidates will receive a world-class four-year B.Tech degree at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, with all expenses borne by the Government of India.

Applicants must fulfill the following mandatory requirements to be eligible for shortlisting:
Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen.
Age Limit: Candidates must be born between January 2, 2007, and July 1, 2009 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualification:
Passed 10+2 (Class 12th) or equivalent with at least 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
Scored at least 50% marks in English (either in Class 10th or Class 12th).
Mandatory Exam: Must have appeared for the JEE (Main) 2025 for B.E./B.Tech.
The selection process is designed to identify candidates with high officer potential through academic merit and personality evaluation.
Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their JEE Main 2025 All India Rank (AIR) as per the Common Rank List (CRL).
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a two-stage interview at one of the Service Selection Boards (Bangalore, Bhopal, Visakhapatnam, or Kolkata).
Stage I: Intelligence Test, Picture Perception, and Discussion Test.
Stage II: Psychological testing, Group Tasks, and a Personal Interview.
Medical Examination: Candidates recommended by the SSB will undergo a comprehensive medical examination.
Final Merit List: Prepared based on SSB marks and successful medical clearance.
Application Fee: ₹0 (No fee for any category).
Training: Full four-year B.Tech degree at the Indian Naval Academy with no tuition or boarding fees.
Commissioning: On successful completion, candidates are commissioned as Sub Lieutenants with a starting pay in Level 10 (approx. ₹56,100 + allowances).
