1. Requirement Overview
The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communication, has invited applications from Indian Nationals for the direct recruitment of Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade). This is a Group C, Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial position within the Gujarat Circle

4. Age Limit
Minimum Age Required: 18 Years
Maximum Age Limit: 27 Years

Ex-Servicemen: 3 years after deducting military service from actual age 20
5. Eligibility Criteria
Education: Pass in 10th standard from a recognized Board or Institute.
Driving License: Valid driving license for both Light & Heavy motor vehicles.
Experience: At least three years of experience driving Light & Heavy motor vehicles.
Technical Knowledge: Ability to remove minor defects in vehicles (Motor mechanism).
Desirable: Three years of service as a Home Guard or Civil Volunteer.

Note on Ex-Servicemen (ESM): The 02 vacancies reserved for Ex-Servicemen will be adjusted horizontally against the respective categories (UR/EWS/SC/ST/OBC) based on the category of the selected candidate.
7. Selection Process
Selection will be conducted in two competitive stages:
Stage I (Theory Test - 80 Marks): 90-minute MCQ test covering General Knowledge, Simple Arithmetic, Reasoning, and Traffic Rules.
Stage II (Practical Test - 20 Marks): Identification of defects, minor repairs, and a Heavy Motor Vehicle driving test.
Merit List: Prepared based on total marks secured in both stages.
8. Required Documents for Job
Self-attested copies of the following must accompany the application:
Proof of Date of Birth.
Educational Qualification certificates ( 10th Mark sheet)
Driving Experience Certificate.
Valid Driving License (LMV & HMV).
Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) in prescribed format.
Original E-payment Fee Receipt.
Two recent colored passport-size photographs (one pasted, one pinned with name on back).
9. General Conditions and Instructions
Probation: Two years.
Single Application: Only one application per candidate; multiple entries will be rejected.
No Hand Delivery: Applications sent by hand, private courier, or unregistered post will not be accepted.

Pay the ₹100 fee (if applicable) at a Post Office via e-payment and obtain the receipt.
Fill out the application form clearly; do not leave any columns blank.
Paste your photo and attach self-attested copies of all documents
