Vacancy & Stipend Details (Total: 248)

The vacancies are divided between Graduate and Technician categories:

Eligible Branches: ECE, CSE, Mechanical, Electrical, EEE, and Civil Engineering.

The 248 total seats are divided into 200 Graduate Engineer Apprentice (GEA) posts and 48 Technician (Diploma) Apprentice (TA) posts across various engineering disciplines.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:

  • For GEA: Must have passed B.E./B.Tech in the relevant engineering branch from a recognized university.

  • For TA: Must have passed a Diploma in the relevant engineering branch.

  • Year of Passing: Generally, candidates who have passed their degree/diploma in 2023, 2024, or 2025 are eligible.

• Age Limit (as of 31.12.2025):

  • Maximum Age: 25 years.

  • Relaxation: 3 years for OBC; 5 years for SC/ST; 10 years for PwD.

Selection Process

1. Merit-Based Shortlisting: Selection is based purely on the aggregate marks obtained in the Engineering Degree or Diploma.

2. No Exam/Interview: There is no written test or personal interview for this recruitment.

3. Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will be called for verification of original documents at ECIL, Hyderabad.

Important Notes for Applicants

• Priority Branch: As ECIL is an electronics-focused organization, the majority of seats (approx. 120 total) are reserved for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) candidates.

• Location: All 248 apprentices will be stationed at the ECIL Headquarters in Hyderabad for the duration of the one-year training.

• Reservation: Vertical reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS) and Horizontal reservation (PwD) will be applied to the above seat counts as per Government of India rules.
