The Andhra Pradesh Physical Education Common Entrance Test (APPECET-2026) is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Acharya Nagarjuna University on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). It is held for candidates seeking admission into the first year of B.P.Ed. (Two years) and D.P.Ed. (Two Years) courses in University Constituent and Affiliated Colleges across Andhra Pradesh for the Academic Year 2026-27.

Minimum Age:
For B.P.Ed. (Two years): Must have completed 19 years of age on 01.07.2026.
For D.P.Ed. (Two years): Must have completed 16 years of age on 01.07.2026.
Maximum Age: Not specified in the official notification.
Age Relaxation based on category: Not applicable/Not specified.

General: The candidate should belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy local/other state status requirements.
B.P.Ed. (Two years): Candidates should have appeared for third-year degree examinations or passed a three-year degree examination recognized by any University in A.P. or equivalent.
D.P.Ed. (Two years): Candidates should have appeared or passed Intermediate or equivalent courses recognized by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Note: In-service Physical Education Teachers (P.E.Ts) do not need to appear for APPECET and should apply directly through their D.E.O.'s notification. Graduates with distance mode degrees from Deemed/Private Universities are ineligible unless approved by UGC, DEC, and AICTE.
Since APPECET-2026 is a Common Entrance Test for course admissions and not a recruitment drive, specific job vacancy details do not apply. Seat intake per institution and course will be announced during the counseling process.
The selection and ranking are determined through a two-part examination followed by documentation verification:
Part A: Physical Efficiency Test
Part B: Skill Test in Game
Document Scrutiny: Verification of original certificates at the time of the entrance test.
Incentive Marks Addition: Incorporating bonus marks for sports achievements or NCC qualifications.
Web Counselling: Final seat allotment based on the merit list and rank.
The test consists of a maximum of 500 marks (excluding additional incentive marks):
Physical Efficiency Test (Maximum 400 marks): * Compulsory Events (Men): 100 Meters run (100 Marks), Putting the shot - 6 Kgs (100 Marks), 800 Meters run (100 Marks).
Compulsory Events (Women): 100 Meters run (100 Marks), Putting the shot - 4 Kgs (100 Marks), 400 Meters run (100 Marks).
Optional Event (Both): Candidates must choose either Long Jump or High Jump (100 Marks).
Skill Test in Game (Maximum 100 marks): Candidates must select one game from the following: Ball Badminton, Basketball, Cricket, Football, Handball, Hockey, Kabaddi, Kho-Kho, Shuttle Badminton, Tennis, or Volleyball.
While previous year statistics vary, the official qualifying standard for APPECET-2026 is fixed:
General Qualifying Standard: 30% of the aggregate marks (i.e., 150 marks out of 500 marks from the Physical Efficiency and Skill Tests).
SC/ST Standard: There are no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for candidates belonging to SC and ST categories.

Caste Certificate (for SC/ST/BC) and Parent's Income Certificate
Ration Card and Study/Residence certificate

For scrutiny at the Entrance Test:
Original Sports Merit Certificates
Pass Certificate in courses like D.P.Ed/NIS/Yoga/Sports Management etc.
N.C.C. Certificate (C-Certificate / B-Certificate)
One set of attested photocopies of the above certificates along with a photocopy of the Hall Ticket
The test will only be conducted at the Acharya Nagarjuna University Campus, Nagarjuna Nagar, Guntur.
Pregnant women, individuals with heart ailments, or serious medical conditions are advised not to appear for these tough physical fitness tests due to the risk of injury.
Options chosen for the optional track event or the chosen sport cannot be changed at the time of the test.
There is no re-totaling, revaluation, or personal identification of response sheets.
Eligible candidates must submit their applications through ONLINE mode only.
Pay the application processing fee directly through the Payment Gateways (Credit card/Debit card/Net banking) on the website or via A.P. Online/mee seva centers.
Fill in the application comprehensively with correct particulars, including the specific choice of the optional Physical Efficiency Test event and the preferred skill test game.
Submit the application on the official portal and download the Hall ticket once released, as physical copies will not be mailed.
While the official brochure does not prescribe books, strategic preparation requires:
Cardiovascular Stamina: Focus on interval training and long-distance jogging to build endurance for the 800m/400m and 100m dashes.
Strength & Power: Incorporate core training and upper-body plyometrics specifically for the shot put event.
Technique Specialization: For the chosen skill game (e.g., Volleyball, Kabaddi), practice with standard regulatory measurements and focus on match-specific functional movements, as the 100-mark test will directly evaluate technical gameplay proficiency.
Documentation: Organize all sports achievement portfolios well in advance to claim the maximum possible incentive marks (up to 100 marks available for international/national representations).
