The Andhra Pradesh Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test (AP EAPCET) 2026 is a state-level entrance examination conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU), Kakinada, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). The registration fee depends on the category of the applicant:
Unreserved (Open Category - OC): Rs. 800/-
Backward Classes (BC): Rs. 750/-
SC / ST Candidates: Rs. 700/-
(Note: Candidates opting to take tests for both Engineering and Agriculture & Pharmacy streams must select "Both" during the application, and the fee structure will apply accordingly.)
Minimum Age:
For Engineering and Pharmacy courses: Must have completed 16 years of age as of 31st December 2026.
For Agriculture courses (B.Tech Dairy/Agr Engg, B.Sc Agr, Pharma-D, etc.): Must have completed 17 years of age as of 31st December 2026.
Maximum Age:
For Engineering and Pharmacy courses: There is no upper age limit.
For Agriculture courses: The upper age limit is 22 years for general category candidates as of 31st December 2026.
Age Relaxation based on category: * For Agriculture courses: The upper age limit is relaxed to 25 years for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
Nationality: Candidates must be Indian Nationals or hold Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) / Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) status, and they must belong to the State of Andhra Pradesh, satisfying local/non-local status requirements.
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination (or equivalent diploma) conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
Minimum Marks: Candidates must have secured a minimum of 45% aggregate marks (40% for candidates belonging to reserved categories) in their qualifying examination.
Subject Requirements: * Engineering: Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry (MPC).
Agriculture/Pharmacy: Biology, Physics, and Chemistry (BiPC) or other relevant vocational courses.
As AP EAPCET 2026 is an academic entrance examination for university and college admissions, a detailed job vacancy list is not applicable. Seat matrices and intake numbers for each specific course and institution will be published by APSCHE at the time of the web counseling process.
The admission selection process involves the following sequential stages:
Computer Based Test (CBT): Participating in the online entrance examination.
Preliminary Key & Objections: Reviewing the official answer key and submitting valid objections (if any) with a processing fee of Rs. 300/- per question.
Result & Rank Declaration: Generating a merit rank based on the normalized scores of the CBT.
Web Counselling & Document Verification: Participating in online college option entry and standard document verification to confirm final seat allotments.
The AP EAPCET is conducted via an Online Computer Based Test (CBT) model.
Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes) per session.
Total Questions: 160 Objective-type multiple-choice questions.
Marking Scheme: Each correct response is awarded 1 mark. There is no negative marking for incorrect or unattempted questions.
Medium of Exam: English and Telugu.
Stream-wise Breakdown:
Engineering: Mathematics (80 questions), Physics (40 questions), and Chemistry (40 questions).
Agriculture & Pharmacy: Biology (Botany - 40, Zoology - 40), Physics (40 questions), and Chemistry (40 questions).
While exact closing ranks differ significantly across institutions and branches, the standard qualifying threshold for the AP EAPCET is to secure a minimum of 25% of the maximum marks (i.e., 40 out of 160 marks) to be assigned a rank. For SC and ST candidates, there is generally no minimum qualifying mark prescribed. Top tier JNTU constituent colleges and leading private institutions heavily demand ranks under the top 10,000 for core engineering fields (like CSE and ECE).
For Examination Day:
Downloaded AP EAPCET 2026 Hall Ticket.
A valid photo ID proof (Intermediate Hall ticket, Passport, PAN card, Voter ID, Aadhaar card, or Driving license).
A good Ball Point Pen for rough work.
Filled-in Online Application form with an attached passport photograph, and an attested copy of the Caste Certificate (strictly for SC/ST candidates).
Candidates must arrive at the examination center strictly 2 hours before the exam commences to allow time for registration and frisking.
Entry is completely restricted once the test commences (09:00 AM for the FN session and 02:00 PM for the AN session). Latecomers will not be entertained even by a single minute.
Candidates are prohibited from bringing textual material, calculators, electronic watches, mobile phones, or any electronic gadgets into the examination hall.
Candidates must remain in their seats for the entire 3-hour duration of the exam; leaving early is prohibited.

Click on the "Fee Payment" link and enter your qualifying exam details, name, date of birth, and mobile number to pay the registration fee via Credit/Debit card or Net Banking.
Once the payment is successful, note down the Payment Reference ID.
Proceed to "Fill Application Form" using the Payment Reference ID, Qualifying Exam Hall Ticket Number, and Mobile Number.
Enter all required educational and personal details, select the exam center preferences, and upload a recent photograph and signature.
Submit the application and print the final "Filled In Application Form" for future reference and for presenting it at the examination center.
Syllabus Mastery: Follow the official Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. syllabus for 1st and 2nd-year Intermediate exactly.
Engineering (MPC): Focus intensely on calculus, algebra, and coordinate geometry for Mathematics. For Physics, emphasize mechanics and electromagnetism. H.C. Verma (Physics) and standard Telugu Akademi textbooks are highly recommended.
Agriculture/Pharmacy (BiPC): Emphasize NCERT/Telugu Akademi Biology textbooks focusing strictly on human anatomy, plant physiology, and genetics.
