This physics & chemistry book by Bhagya Nagar contains class notes on Physics, covering topics like Heat, Sound, and Light.
Heat (ఉష్ణం):
Heat is a form of energy and always flows from higher to lower temperature.
The device used to measure heat is a 'Calorimeter'.
Heat transmission methods include Conduction (ఉష్ణ వాహనం), Convection (ఉష్ణ సంవహనం), and Radiation (వికిరణము).
Temperature (ఉష్ణోగ్రత) is the measure of the hotness of an object. Its SI unit is Kelvin (కెల్విన్), and it is measured using a 'Thermometer'.
Water has maximum density at 4 deg C
Sound (ధ్వని):
Sound is produced by vibrating objects. The study of sound is called Acoustics (ఎకోస్టిక్స్).
The SI unit of frequency (పౌనః పున్యం) is Hertz (Hz), and the SI unit of sound intensity (ధ్వని తీవ్రత) is Decibel (డెసి బెల్).
Sound is classified into three types based on frequency: Infrasonic (శ్రవ్యా ధ్వనులు) (below 20 Hz), Audible (పరశ్రవ్య ధ్వనులు) (20 Hz to $20,000 Hz), and Ultrasonic (అతిధ్వనులు) (above 20,000Hz).
Sound requires a medium to travel (solid, liquid, or gas). The speed of sound is highest in solids.
Sound wave speed in air is 330 msec.
Light (కాంతి):
Light travels in a straight line.
The speed of light in air or vacuum is 3 X 10^8ms
The phenomenon of light separating into seven colors is called Dispersion (కాంతి విశ్లేషణం). The seven colors are denoted by VIBGYOR.
Violet has the shortest wavelength and highest energy, while Red has the longest wavelength and lowest energy.
Primary colors are Red, Green, and Blue (RGB).
Optical Fibers and Endoscopy work on the principle of Total Internal Reflection (సంపూర్ణాంతర పరావర్తనం).
