The Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has announced a major recruitment drive for 394 Non-Executive vacancies, specifically for the post of Junior Engineering Assistant (JEA) across its various refineries. Total Posts: 394 (Junior Engineering Assistant - IV)
Refineries: Guwahati, Barauni, Gujarat, Haldia, Mathura, Panipat, Digboi, Bongaigaon, and Paradip.
Pay Scale: ₹25,000 – ₹1,05,000/-
Total Emoluments: Including DA, HRA, and other benefits, the starting gross salary is approximately ₹45,000 - ₹50,000 per month.
Educational Qualification (Min. 50% for Gen/OBC/EWS, 45% for SC/ST):
JEA (Production/P&U): 3-year Diploma in Chemical/Refinery & Petrochemical Engg. OR B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry).
JEA (Electrical/Mechanical): 3-year Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
JEA (Instrumentation): 3-year Diploma in Instrumentation/Instrumentation & Control/Electronics & Instrumentation.
Experience: Minimum one year of post-qualification experience in the relevant industry (Refinery/Petrochemical/Fertilizer/Chemical/Power Plants).
Age Limit: 18 to 26 years (as of 31.12.2025). Relaxations apply for reserved categories.
Written Test: A 100-mark objective type test.
SPPT (Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test): Qualifying in nature. Candidates are shortlisted for SPPT in a 1:2 ratio based on written test marks.
Medical Examination: Candidates must meet the physical fitness standards specified by IOCL.
The exam duration is usually 90 to 120 minutes.
