1. International News

Bondi Beach Attack Update: Australian and Indian officials confirmed that Sajid Akram, one of the two shooters behind the Sydney massacre, was an Indian citizen from Hyderabad. He migrated on a student visa in 1998 and married a European woman. Preliminary probes suggest his radicalization had no local links in India.

Gaza Peace Plan Support: External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, during his visit to Tel Aviv, expressed India's support for the Gaza peace plan proposed by U.S. President Trump.

Ethiopia's Highest Award: Prime Minister Narendra Modi was conferred with "The Great Honour Nishan of Ethiopia" by his counterpart Abiy Ahmed Ali. Both nations elevated their ties to a strategic partnership.

Thailand-Cambodia Conflict: Thailand demanded that Cambodia announce a ceasefire "first," accusing them of being the aggressor in the reignited border conflict that has displaced 8 lakh people.

Trump Sues BBC: U.S. President Donald Trump filed a $10 billion lawsuit against the BBC, alleging defamation and malicious editing of his January 6, 2021, speech.

2. National Current Affairs

MGNREGA Replacement Bill: The Centre introduced the VB-G RAM (G) Bill, 2025, which aims to replace MGNREGA with the "Viksit Bharat Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission". The move faced massive protests as it reduces the Centre's funding share from 90% to 60%.

Nuclear Sector Reform: The government introduced the SHANTI Bill to allow domestic private capital to build and operate civil nuclear facilities, aiming for 100 GW capacity by 2047.

Infiltration Data: The MHA informed the Lok Sabha that 878 infiltrators were caught along the India-Myanmar border in the last two years. Around 79% of the India-Bangladesh border is now fenced.

Draft Voter Lists: The Election Commission published draft rolls for five States/UTs. A staggering 58 lakh names were removed in West Bengal and 42 lakh in Rajasthan.

Insurance Reform: The Lok Sabha passed a Bill to increase FDI in the insurance sector from 74% to 100%.

3. State Current Affairs (Andhra Pradesh)

Aviation EduCity: IT and HRD Minister Nara Lokesh announced that India’s first integrated Aviation, Aerospace, and Defence (AAD) EduCity will come up near Bhogapuram within one year.

Police Stipend Hike: CM N. Chandrababu Naidu announced a hike in the monthly stipend for police constables in training from ₹4,500 to ₹12,500.

MGNREGA Funds: The Centre released ₹1,988 crore to A.P. specifically for MGNREGA wage payments.

Public Health Vision: The government is implementing the Sanjeevani Project to create digital health records for all citizens.
